Cultural festival

It was time to get on the bus. The bus was taking us to the CBS arena to preform in the cultural festival we were the first school preforming on the night so we had to be prepared for it . When we arrived at the CBS the boys had to put on there puipui. When we were ready we went to this spot before we preformed. When we were walking on to stage all we could here was the crowd cheering toia mai was the first song then the Haka that was the best of the the night at the end of the performance we went up to our seats and watched the rest of the schools until he end .

My material feather

How did I make my feather.
1. First we had to choose a country (Russia).
2. Then we had to translate we can fly on to our feather in our country's language .
3. Then we had. To find our design on either the iPad or computer.
4. When we found it we drew it on our feather.
5. Next I had to colour our feather in with fine tips.

6. Then we had to put our design on the proper feather.

7. Finally our feathers get to be cut out and put on our Manu tukutuku.

YEAR 7/8 Rugby/ Netball Tournament

"Hoot hoot" as the hooter goes off I knew the game was away. On Tuesday the 6th August 2013 we arrived at the Lincoln domain, thank god for that. We were there to represent our school by either playing rugby or netball ,I played netball for Burnham School.
"Jacob" I heard so I looked and the ball came flying at me. I caught it and passed it back .I asked what we were doing and they said drills. We were doing drills for about ten minutes then we got called in by Miss Sweeney .
"Burnham on three,one two three". Burnham. the whistle blew so the oppositions centre threw the ball to they're goal defence pass she threw back to the centre pass straight back . The goal defence then threw it to there wing attack. She then threw it to their goal shoot goal they scored a goal.when we got the ball we nearly had a goal but they intercepted it and went to have a shot. "Obstructsion" said the ref, goal defence stand a side that was me when she shot it went in the hoop. We soon got a goal.Finally we got a goal . The whistle kept blowing that annoyed me because it was either me getting pulled up for obstruction or they scored. The whistle blew for full time I was relieved about that It was still fun even though we lost. "Hip ray hip ray hip ray one for the ref one ,one for the supporters one". Good game good game ...... As we were shaking their hands .
It was our last game of the tournament. I was nervous, the hooter blew for the game to start when it started I had to keep chasing my partner there GA it was tiring and boaring. Boom they scored then we scored then in a couple of minutes they scored again .the hooter blew for half time we switched sides then we scored .It was all tied up their was only a couple minutes left. The hooter blew, yes I was thinking we finally didn't lose. Good game good game... We were saying when we shook there hands.
That was the most tiring tournament I have played in so far.

Dunedin

Chapter 1.As we were packing our stuff my mum asked me if we had a cage for the cats. I said I didn't know. She asked Dom and Dom said no then suggested that we'll just go and get one.When we got to the pet store to look for a cage we saw one straight away. I went up to see how much it cost and it wasn't that expensive. Dom looked at it and asked mum if we should get it. She said yes. When we were walking to the car my mum asked how we were going to to catch the cats in the morning. Matthew said we should put them to sleep. Mum said no and suggested that we could get tablets that makes them sleepy. When we got service at the pet store we asked the lady if they had any sleepy tablets and she said that she'll have a look in the back of the store. When she came back she didn't have any and told their was a pet store down the about five minutes away

Mufti day poster

Last Thursday Tama and I were finishing off our mufti day poster .

We got told to make it colourful and also powerful so we headed off to room one with some powerful colouring pencils.

When we got their we decided to colour the letters in the house colours so we were colouring it in .

When we finished Miss Sweeny told us to photocopy the poster and hang it up .

So we headed off to the photocopy room and photocopied and hung it up on every classes door.

We raised $240.80
